The Wounded and Recovering Fund was set up by Greenville County Deputies after several serious line-of-duty injuries in the past few years.
The nine-member board (consisting of seven law-enforcement officers and two civilians) set up annual fundraisers -- including the second annual W.A.R. Fund 5K . Since its inception, the W.A.R. Fund has donated more than $25,000 to injured law enforcement personnel. As a 501c(3), all donations are tax deductible. 100% All proceeds go to injured deputies.
The primary goal of the W.A.R. Fund is to establish permanent fundraising capabilities in an effort to provide immediate financial assistance to Greenville County, S.C. Deputy Sheriffs who are injured in the line of duty.
For more information about the 5K, contact Brad McAlister at: email@example.com
