The First Annual Moonshiner 5k Night Race is being hosted by Half-Moon Outfitters on Friday September 17th at 8pm at Paris Mountain State Park.  The Moonshiner 5k will cover trails in Paris Mountain State Park.

The Mission of the Moonshiner 5k is to provide a fun, safe and competitive experience for runners while raising money for a worthwhile charity.  The race is a night trail race - the only one of its kind in the southeast.

All of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Paris Mountain State Park FRIENDS which was formed to utilize park for educational programs, to help improve the park's physical attributed and to help the park rangers as requested

Each runner receives a technical T-shirt as part of their entry fee.
Shirts come in both men's (S, M, L, XL, XXl) and women's (S, M, L) sizes. For Registrations after Sept 3rd T-shirt size is not guaranteed.

"Thanks, but I don't need another T-shirt" option where $10 of your entry goes directly to the Friends of Paris Mountain State Park and the runner receives no shirt but a tax-deductible contribution instead.

Also, the first 100 entries get a pair of SmartWool socks!

Policies:

All runners are required to wear a light source.

If you do not have a good headlamp, then this is your lucky day! Purchase a Black Diamond Cosmo Headlamp with your race entry and pay half price! This makes this super cool headlamp only $15.00 ONLY on go-greenevents and ONLY for racers at the Moonshine 5k.

If you want to purchase the headlamp, FIRST register for the race, then add the headlamp option in the cart.
If you purchase the headlamp you will receive it in your race packet. Batteries are included so you can use it the night of the race.
