2017 South Carolina State Parks Come Out & Play 5K Series

The third race of the SC State Park 5K Series will be held at Oconee State Park on Saturday March 4th, 2017 at 10 AM.  No matter if the weather is warm or cool, rain or shine, we will get a jump on Spring and get rid of your Cabin Fever and go for a run through Oconee State Park.

All ages, ability and experience levels are welcome to participate in this 5K event. This race is open to all runners, joggers, walkers, dog walkers or anyone who wants to get some fresh air and exercise.  Due to the terrain and trails, this event is not recommended for strollers or wheelchairs.

Pets are permitted inside Oconee State Park and for this 5K event, but must be on a leash at all times.

The registration fee for this race is $30.00 per person, and all proceeds will benefit trail construction and improvements at Oconee State Park.  We encourage you to help support Oconee and visit one of the most iconic CCC constructed parks in South Carolina.  Prizes will be awarded to top place finishers, and T-shirts and give away items will also be given to each paid participant.

Campsites and cabins are available for reservation by contacting Oconee State Park at (864) 638-5353 or go to our website at .  You can also bring or purchase your Ultimate Outsider Guide Book and get it stamped at Oconee on the day of the race.  You can also collect many other stamps from several other nearby SC State Parks in close proximity.

This combination road & trail run is the third out of six scheduled races for the 2017 South Carolina State Parks Come Out & Play 5K Race Series, which includes these 5K events:
