Join us October 6th for the second of two short track races in Cleveland Park to benefit the Challenge to Conquer Cancer ride to Austin.  100% of the proceeds go to benefit the riders participating in the Challenge to Conquer Cancer ride to Austin.  The first race was a HUGE success with tons of good feedback....DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!  We look forward to a challenging course with short descents and tough, punchy climbs that will test all levels of racers.

The race format is a .7 mile course of mostly single-track, racers go for 30 minutes, most laps win.

Entry is $15 until 10/5/11.  $20 day of race.  Juniors race free. (Juniors are still required to purchase a $5 one day license to cover insurance with USAC.)

We are moving up times do to daylight:
5:30pm race - JUNIORS under 16 - a 15 minute version of the race for juniors with special prizes
6:00 pm race - Male/Female Sport, Beginner/Intermediate (Cat 2 and 3)
6:30 pm race - Male and Female Expert/Pro (Cat 1)
At 7:00ish we will have a Track Stand competition (see who can track stand on their bike the longest)
*Race Director reserves the right to assign racers to either race to balance competition.

Cash prizes for Male and Female 1st ($30), 2nd ($20) & 3rd ($15) place in Expert/Pro race.
Lots of cool swag for top 3 M/F in 6:30 pm race as well as the Junior race.

This is a USAC permitted event, you must have a valid USAC license to compete (one-day license available day of event).

Policies:

Licenses
All racers MUST have a valid USA Cycling License. Current USAC Annual License holders need to bring their license to check in at Registration. You must include your USA Cycling if you want to receive credit for your performance through USA Cycling.

One-day licenses can be purchased for $5. One-day race permits are only available to Category 2, Category 3, Singlespeed, Clydesdale, and Junior riders.

Bikes
This is a mountain bike short track (dirt crit) race. We are expecting mountain bikes to race it - but if you want to race a cyclocross bike we won't stop you.

On-Site registration
You can register onsite the night of the race, but the fee will be $20.00.

Packet Pickup:
Race registration and packet pickup will close at 5:45 pm the night of the race. This gives us enough time to sort and print the race dockets for scoring. Thanks for coming to registration by 5:45!
