Carolina Triathlon presents the Greenville Short Track Mountain Bike race series.
Riverbend Equestrian Park is a special place to host our 3rd Annual Series and we look forward to a fast course, short descents and tough climbs that will test all levels of racers.
We offer FOUR races for the 2013 season. Special pricing: register for all four for the price of three!
The race format is a .8 mile course of mostly singletrack, racers go for 30 minutes and the most laps win.
There are three races each night: 6:30-6:45 - JUNIORS under 16, a 15-minute version of the race for Juniors with special prizes 6:45-7:15 - Male/Female Sport, Beginner/Intermediate (Cat 2 and 3)* 7:30-8:00 - Male/Female Expert/Pro (Cat 1)*
*Race Director reserves the right to assign racers to either race to balance competition.
The course is a fast .8 mile double and singletrack loop with short descents and tough climbs that will test all levels of racers.
Cash prizes for Male and Female 1st ($25), 2nd ($15) and 3rd ($10) place in Expert/Pro race. Lots of cool swag for top 3 Male/Female in 6:45 race.
This is a USAC permitted event. You must have a valid USAC license to compete. (One-day license available day of event.)

Policies:
Licenses
All racers, including Juniors, MUST have a valid USA Cycling Mountain Bike (XC) License. Current USAC annual license holders must bring their license to check in at Registration. You must include your USA Cycling License Number if you want to receive credit for your performance through USA Cycling.
One-day licenses can be purchased day of the event for $5. One-day race permits are only available to Category 2, Category 3, Singlespeed, Clydesdale and Junior riders.
Bikes
This is a mountain bike short track (dirt crit) race. We are expecting mountain bikes to race it but it you want to race a cyclocross bike we won't stop you.
On-site Registration
You can register on-site the day of the race but the fee increases to $15 for race registration. So register online before you arrive to save money!
Packet Pickup:
Race registration and packet pickup will close at 6:00pm the night of the race. This gives us enough time to sort the dockets for scoring. Thanks for coming to Registration by 6:00 on race day!
